Your gifts change lives! Lives of moms and the children they are raising!

For every $25 you give, we are able to partner with ministry leaders, missionaries and mentors around the world making it possible for a mom to learn life skills, job skills, and biblical parenting skills. Mentoring moms gives them and their children the opportunity to break the cycle of poverty, be freed from social slavery, and most importantly, find hope in a real relationship with Jesus Christ.

What's The MOM Initiative's goal?

As we approach 2017, we plan to expand what we have already been doing and our goal is to reach 22 more states and 10 more countries. Currently, there are ministry leaders, mentors, and missionaries reaching moms for Christ through mentoring relationships in homes, prisons, parks, crisis pregnancy centers, churches, and communities in 30 states and 10 countries.

Reaching out to moms gives us a distinct opportunity to also reach the children they are raising.

Meet Ernestine! 

Ernestine mentors moms in prison and continues to mentor them when they get out. Ernestine pours into the lives of these precious moms who have struggled with a bad past and a bleak future - and she helps them find hope and healing through Jesus Christ. Ernestine mentors them in biblical parenting, life skills, and teaches them how significant they are as women and moms, and how they have such an important role to play in molding the hearts of their children.

Moms have come out of jail a very different kind of mother than they were when they went in - all because Ernestine was willing to make mentoring missional.

 

Ernestine has opened her heart and her home to make a difference in the lives of moms in prison and in her community! Today, she is experiencing the beauty and the power of what mentoring can do when a woman who loves Jesus is willing to step into her Titus 2 shoes!

Through your generous contributions, we are able to reach at-risk kids and children from all walks of life around the world by mentoring and assisting the moms who are raising them. Your tax-deductible gifts provide biblical parenting, job and life skills, health and hygiene that will enable moms to support their children, establish a safe and healthy home life, embrace a better life for themselves and their children prison, and, most importantly, hope through Jesus Christ.

How your contributions are a double blessing:

Your tax-deductible donation rewards are Fair Trade products handmade by teenage girls in Chittagong, Bangladesh. The wage they earn for these products can mean the difference between hunger and food - trafficking and safety. Your gifts help create a future for these girls and supports the Light of Hope Learning Center where they not only learn to sew, but also receive an education, vocational training, nutrition, hygiene, and best of all—faith and freedom in Jesus Christ.

• A CHANGED LIFE: Alex was a single mom who had been in jail before. She was angry, bitter, broken and couldn't seem to break the cycle of poverty and foolish decisions. But Ernestine kept showing up and mentoring other moms in jail. Inviting her. Alex pretended like she wouldn't come back but she did. Surprised by her mentor's unconditional love and relentless prayers, Alex began to see purpose, hope, and a future. Today Alex is growing in her faith and looking forward to the day when she gets out of jail and can be a much better mom than she was when she went in.

• A CHANGED LIFE: She (name withheld) was addicted to drugs and making one destructive decision after another. Her children were living through a horrific home life. She had been to a MOM Group before but her drug addiction seemed much more powerful than her desire to get her life on track. Her friends kept loving her, reaching out, not giving up, and finally she was overcome with the way Jesus loved her through them and she gave her life to Christ. Today, her children have a new momma and their future is full of hope.

• A CHANGED LIFE: In Nigeria, Kenya, and Indonesia, moms gather together with mentors in safe places where they learn job skills, life skills, and biblical parenting. Most importantly, they learn about how they can have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

• A CHANGED LIFE: After being invited to a local MOM Group, Brittany was saved when a MOM Mentor lead her to Christ. Her life, her marriage, her home, and her parenting were radically changed and her children now have a brand new mom with a brand new heart and a brand new desire to see them come to know Christ too!

    • - - - OUR STORY • OUR HEART - - -

    The MOM Initiative launched in 2012 with a huge vision to see a million moms reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

    Statistics indicate that only 4% of teenagers will become Bible-believing adults. Now more than ever, we see an unparalleled need to strategically and intentionally reach the next generation for Christ. 

    With violence, drop out rates, poverty, lack of integrity and morality at an all time high, we see our young people and their futures spiraling out of control.

    Our culture is at a very obvious crossroads and if we don't reach the children of the next generation, we may just lose them. Doing nothing can no longer be an option and we will not sit back and watch the next generation slip through the cracks of faith.

    But if we are going to reach the children of the next generation we need to begin by reaching the moms who are raising them! 

    It has been said that the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world. If that is true, then the church that mentors those hands will win it. 

    That is why we have been dedicated to train, equip and support local churches, missionaries, ministry leaders and organizations around the world since we launched in 2012. We know the social indicators of a wayward culture are just symptoms of the desperate spiritual need we see around the globe.

    The MOM Initiative is unmistakably and unapologetically focused on reaching moms and the children they are raising for Christ because we know that Jesus changes everything.

    The need is not only obvious, it is great! And we are answering God's call to change the world one mom at a time. BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP!
